Making a mold for metal casting

Metal casting is a great creative hobby that you can use to make all sorts of cool objects, and you've likely tried your hand at it if only with some sand after an enjoyable day on the beach. But what exactly is a mold, and how do you even go about creating it? Think of a mold as to be similar like an exclusive container you can pour hot liquid metal into. You need to remove it from the mold permanently after this process so that metal freezes and become hard. 

But before jumping at how to make molds, understand the types of moulds. There are two major type to familiarize yourself with: one-part molds and watertight or chamber molds. The Gravity die casting machines simplest form of a mold is one part molds. These are most effective for creating simple shapes. With the latter, two-part molds have to be made which is simpler when creating rounded shapes. The Boqiao molds come in 2 halves and they sit perfectly together. When combined, they make a hole in the center for pouring the hot metal into.

Materials and Tools Required for Successful Mold Making

Initially, an original and sculpture are placed inside a box to create the first half of a mold. Next, combine the mold material as per package instructions. Pour this Low Pressure die cast machines mixture delicately into your sculpture, until it is completely covered. Tapping lightly over the box, getting rid of any interior trapped air bubbles. 

Form the Rest of the Boqiao Mold: Once half is completely dry take it out you from the box and flip them over. Put the first part back into your case. You can now make the second half of your mold the same way that you did with first.
